Description
Size: 6ft 6in x 3ft 3in (199 x 99cm).Antique Baluch rug with fine diamond lattice design and an interesting border.
Circa 1900.
The rug has a fine repeat lattice design on a clear red ground, each diamond of the lattice contains a Turkmen type design. The border is of a interesting design and uses some very nice colours, especially a blue green with some small yellow high lights.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, the weave is very fine and the wool is soft. As can be seen in the images the rug is slightly misshapen.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
