Description
Size: 4ft 4in x 3ft 3in (132 x 100cm).Antique Tekke or Yomut Turkmen rug of very unusual design and colour, fine weave and small size; this is probably a dowry weaving.
Circa 1900.
The rug should be considered a scarce item, the blue ground is covered with very small and detailed boteh. The border is a shrub design with a different design at the ends.
The rug is of a very fine weave with a soft and floppy handle.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and medium pile.
The rug is suitable for normal light use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
