Description
Size: 11ft 10in x 6ft 11in (360 x 212cm).Antique Kizyl Ayak Ersari Turkmen main carpet with the tradition Kizil Ayak gul design; there are three rows of ten large guls.
Circa 1880.
The carpet has a rich red ground colour with some very nice blues and blue greens. The boarder is a very well drawn example of the bird head design. Note how the minor gul changes through out the carpet and the use of stars between each set of guls. There are also some nice filler elements used at the sides of the field.
The carpet is in excellent condition with slight even wear with good pile. The carpet retains it original kilim end finishes at both ends.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
