Description
Size: 6ft 0in x 3ft 10in (184 x 118cm).Antique Yomut Turkmen rug with repeat deign and star border.
Circa 1900/20.
The rug has a repeat deign to the field on a madder red ground. The ivory ground border has a star design that is quite unusual, this is found in both Turkmen and Baluch weavings. The very large elem panels and the ends of the rug are also of interest.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
