Size:16ft 6in x 11ft 4in (504 x 346cm).
Old Persian Kirman carpet of classical garden design from the workshop of master weaver Rashid Farrokhi. His signature can be found in the cartouche in the end border.
Circa 1920/30.
The carpet is of very fine weave with tight fine pile, cut short with a firm velvet like feel.
The floral garden design has amazing detail and is an outstanding example of type.
The colours are superb, with rich natural dyes throughout, clear rich reds, soft blues and greens against a dark indigo field.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very even slight wear and almost full pile.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
