Description
Size: 15ft 7in x 12ft 8in (475 x 385cm).Old Turkish Isparta carpet of traditional medallion design, the carpet has a soft colour palette, with an very soft red ground.
Circa 1920.
The carpet has a beautifully drawn ivory ground border that contrasts very well with the soft field colour. Both the border and the medallion include a soft green. The carpet colour has faded over the years due to exposure to light, this is reflected in the price.
This is an excellent furnishing carpet of substantial weight, suitable for heavy domestic use.
The carpet is in excellent condition with full pile and very slight wear.
The carpet has a few old marks that can be seen in the images, the carpet will be hand washed prior to delivery and these marks removed.
