Description
Size: 9ft 10in x 7ft 2in (300 x 219cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen main carpet with 4 rows of 12 guls.
Late 19th century.
The carpet has a orange red ground colour which gives the carpet a very warm feel. The guls are well drawn and cochineal dye is used in the central quartered design. The border is a traditional Turkmen octagon design with many interesting elements.
The carpet is in excellent condition with slight even wear with good pile. There are one or two spots of slightly heavier wear that can be seen in the images. Both ends retain the original elem end finishes.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
