Description
Size: 5ft 0in x 3ft 9in (152 x 115cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of small size, with fine weave, superb colour.
Late 19th century.
This is an good example of a Tekke rug with 3 rows of 6 Tekke guls. The colour palette is good with a madder red field and highlights in cochineal.
The rug is fine and has excellent wool and a soft floppy handle.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
