Description
Size: 5ft 5in x 4ft 7in (165 x 140cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of classic design and deep madder red colour, fine weave and small size; the rug is of a deep madder red colour, that is abrashed in bands across the rug. This is caused by the weaver using different wools dyed in small batches.
Circa 1900.
The rug has a traditional Tekke gul design with 3 rows of 11 guls.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
