Description
Size: 6ft 6in x 3ft 5in (197 x 104cm).Antique Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan. A Baluch rug with outstanding colour in pristine condition with a superb floral border.
Circa 1880.
A superb Baluch rug with a diamond lattice design in alternate rows of indigo blue and madder red. The large scale border is of classic Baluch 'flower' design.
The rug is in excellent condition with no wear and full pile. The rug has very good wool and also retains the original kilims at both ends, these have weft work decoration.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
