Description
Size: 3ft 7in x 3ft 5in (110 x 103cm).Antique Turkish Kozak village prayer rug of small size, Kozak is in Western Anatolia close to Bergama.
2nd half 19th century.
The rug is of a classic design only found in the village of Kozak, these rugs are considered to be scarce and highly collectable. The rug is beautifully drawn and has an array of wonderful soft natural dyed colours.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile. The rug has undergone some restoration and the lower border has been completed.
This is a most beautiful rug that would make a very pleasing wall hanging.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
