Size: 5ft 1in x 3ft 9in (156 x 114cm).Antique Caucasian Bidjov Shirvan rug with a good design on a madder red ground.
Late 19th century.
The rug is well drawn with an good ivory ground border, The field design is striking in form and makes this a visually outstanding small rug. This design is associated with the town of Bidjov, it is one of the two unique designs that are woven there.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
