Description
Size: 5ft 7in x 3ft 10in (170 x 117cm).Antique Western Anatolian Milas prayer rug of early design with superb soft wool and wonderful colour.
2nd half 19th century.
This prayer rug belongs to a small group of Milas rugs with a stepped Mihrab, the inner soft green border contains small trees, and the inner field is filled with leaf forms and flowers. A rug with powerful symbolism that with make a great wall hanging.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, the rug has been professionally restored and is now offered in showroom condition.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for light domestic use. but would make a superb wall hanging.
