Size: 9ft 0in x 6ft 8in (275 x 202cm).Antique Uzbek Turkmen carpet.
Circa 1900.
Carpets by the Turkmen tribes of Uzbekistan are quite scarce, this example has a design similar to the well known Ersari Turkmen carpets but in a much stronger colour palette typical of Uzbek weaving. The carpet has three rows of six large guls.
The carpet is in good condition with slight even wear and good pile.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
