Description
Size: 3ft 6in x 2ft 11in (107 x 89cm).Antique Indian Agra prayer rug of small size.
Circa 1900.
This rug was possibly woven in the prisons of Agra, India during the latter part of the 19th century.
This rug is a good example with a dark red ground covered in a star design, The rug has a large prayer niche flanked by vases.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile, the wool is very soft.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use or would make a good wall hanging.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
