Description
Size: 6ft 6in x 4ft 2in (197 x 128cm).Antique Afghan Timuri Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan of single medallion design.
Circa 1880.
A good Timuri Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan, very soft wool and good colours especially the indigo blues and the soft terracotta reds. The rug has a single medallion design which is quite scarce in Timuri weaving. The rug retains its original long kilims at both ends.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. There is slight corrosion to the olive browns.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
