Description
Size: 11ft 4in x 3ft 8in (345 x 111cm).Antique Caucasian Kazak runner with star medallions.
Circa 1900.
A beautifully drawn runner with four large eight pointed star medallions on a charcoal field, surrounded by tribal elements including flowers, animals and stars. There is also an inscription in the middle of the runner.
The ground colour has corroded giving the rest of the runner a sculpted profile.
Excellent soft colours with a well drawn ivory border.
Superb condition with even wear and good pile
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
