Description
Size: 7ft 1in x 4ft 7in (217 x 140cm).Antique Central Anatolian Konya region prayer rug.
Circa 1900.
A good example of a Konya village prayer rug with a classic design often found on much older rugs. The rug has excellent colour and bold graphics.
Coarse floppy weave, some old re-weaves and repairs, generally good pile but some corrosion to the charcoal brown.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
