Description
Size: 7ft 3in x 3ft 9in (221 x 114cm).Antique Northern Afghan Sulyman village rug with two row of seven large guls.
Circa 1900/20.
The rug is of a typical design from a Northern Afghan Sulyman village, the colour is outstanding with excellent wool. The background is in a warm madder red with some variation in the dye lots, the guls are very well drawn and contain a very pleasing soft burnt orange colour.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The wool is excellent and very soft as you would expect in a quality Afghan rug.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
