Description
Size: 9ft 6in x 5ft 11in (290 x 180cm).Antique Afghan Baluch carpet of traditional ‘mushwani’ design, the carpet is of a warm madder colour with indigo blue.
Circa 1900/20.
The carpet has the traditional Mushwani design is indigo blue, the design is a series of multiple latch hooks or bird heads. The border is a rosette design, note the use of ivory for the corner rosettes in the field and in the center of the carpet.
The carpet is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The wool is very soft and glossy. The carpet retains its original side and end finishes.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use. A very useful small room size carpet.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
