Description
Size: 5ft 4in x 3ft 8in (162 x 111cm).Antique Turkish Ghiordes prayer rug of classic design with a green ground.
Early 19th century.
The rug is beautifully drawn with a two column design on a soft green ground with superb pastel colours through out. The border design is very attractive and traditional for Ghiordes rugs.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and medium pile, there are some historic stains to the upper centre of the rug as can be seen in the images; this is reflected in the price.
The rug is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for light domestic use, but would make a superb wall hanging.
