Size: 8ft 2in x 3ft 4in (250 x 101cm).Antique Caucasian Talish long rug with diagonal stripe design.
Circa 1890.
A good example of a Talish long rug, multi coloured stripes in greens, blues, reds and white containing repeat small boteh design. The rug is framed by a classic but simple floral rosette border typical of the Talish region, the inner yellow guard border is a pleasing feature.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, there is some corrosion to the blacks and a few old re-weaves.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
