Description
Size: 5ft 5in x 3ft 5in (164 x 105cm).Antique Caucasian Shirvan rug from the Kuba region of the Eastern Caucasus.
Circa 1880.
An outstanding example of a Kuba Shirvan rug, with a fine floral lattice design. The rug is exceptionally well drawn with excellent colours. The small shrub design is in a flaming yellow lattice.
The rug is in near perfect condition with very slight even wear and excellent pile. The wool is soft and the weave is very fine, the rug has a soft floppy handle. The rug is 100% original and free from any repairs or restoration.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
