Size: 9ft 11in x 4ft 7in (303 x 139cm).Antique East Caucasian Shirvan rug with Kuba Afshan design.
Circa 1900.
This good Shirvan rug has the classic Afshan design of a dark indigo blue field. The drawing is clear using good colour to highlight the large palmette floral design. The classic Shirvan borders frame the rug well. An impressive statement rug using bold colour and contrast.
Excellent condition with slight even wear, good pile. The rug has a very soft floppy handle.
Hand washed and ready for use.
