Size: 4ft 11in x 4ft 3in (149 x 129cm).Antique Afshar tribal rug with lattice and flowering tulip design.
Circa 1890
A very sweet rug of small square size, the colourful tulip flowers stand out against the dark indigo blue ground. The borders are of classic Afshar design.
The rug is in very good condition with slight even wear and good pile, this is a fine rug with excellent soft wool. As can be seen in the images the rug is slightly misshapen, this is typical of tribal weaving.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
