Description
Size: 11ft 6in x 5ft 3in (350 x 160cm).Antique Central Anatolian Konya kilim of striking niche design with superb colours.
2nd half 19th century.
An excellent kilim with pleasing soft colour and traditional niche design. The natural dye quality is excellent, the range of colours include a rich aubergine, soft yellow, pale green and warm reds. The kilim is woven in two parts joined along the middle as is normal for these early kilims.
Excellent condition with very slight even wear, there are a few scattered old re-weaves that are very difficult to detect.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
