Size: 5ft 6in x 3ft 1in (168 x 95cm).Antique Baluch rug probably from Western Afghanistan. A Baluch rug with outstanding colour with a superb floral border.
Circa 1880.
A superb Baluch rug with a tree design on a dark indigo blue field, the tree is framed by large rosettes. The large scale border is of classic Baluch 'flower' design.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The rug has very good soft wool and superb colour, there is some corrosion to the blacks.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
