Description
Size: 6ft 0in x 4ft 9in (182 x 144cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen rug, with soft warm red colour.
Circa 1900.
This pleasing example has 4 rows of 10 Tekke guls on a soft madder red field, the borders are of the 'sun burst' design with small stars. Note the original large elem panels at each end. The rug is a little wider than normal making it a very useful furnishing size.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, the rug has soft wool and a floppy handle.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
