Size: 7ft 8in x 3ft 10in (234 x 118cm).Antique Caucasian Gendje Kazak long rug with stripe & boteh design.
Circa 1880.
A good example of a Gendje long rug, multi coloured stripes filled with boteh and an angular vine. The soft colours give the rug a light feel. The light indigo blue border frames the rug well.
The rug is in excellent good with even wear and medium / low pile, there are a few scattered old re-piled areas.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
