Description
Size: 3ft 3in x 2ft 3in (99 x 68cm).Antique Afghan Turkmen prayer rug with rams horn design to the Mihrab.
Circa 1900.
A very good small prayer rug, possibly made for a child due to the very small size. The rams horn design in this format is associated with the Turkmen tribes; especially the Ersari / Beshir, who settled in Afghanistan.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and medium pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
