Size: 2ft 6in x 1ft 4in (75 x 40cm) excluding tassels.Antique Uzbek silk velvet ikat uut kap ilgich, shield wall hangings for the yurt.

Uut kap ilgich are shield shaped hangings that usually formed part of a brides dowry; this pair are made using re-purposed silk velvet ikat mounted onto white felt. The backs of the bags are covered in red wool cloth with simple embroidered designs.
The condition is good with some small areas of age related wear / damage to the velvet faces.
