Size: 4ft 6in x 2ft 11in (138 x 88cm).A good small size Turkish silk rug with a pleasing floral medallion design.
About 50 years old.
The rug has an butterscotch coloured field decorated with floral sprays. The main border has a floral design on a soft pistachio green ground. The rug is of a Hereke style but it is not signed.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The rug has been hand washed recently.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
Please note: Silk rugs are difficult to photograph due to the light reflecting off the very shiny surface, light areas are not fading, they are just light reflections. The close up images show the truest colours.
