Size: 3ft 6in x 1ft 8in (107 x 50cm). Excluding tassels.A small size Turkish Kayseri silk rug of boxed floral design.
About 50 years old.
The rug is woven in soft colours and is of an unusual design, each box contains floral elements or designs used in the borders of traditional Turkish rugs.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The rug has been hand washed recently.
Silk pile on a silk foundation.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
Please note: Silk rugs are difficult to photograph due to the light reflecting off the very shiny surface, light areas are not fading, they are just light reflections. The close up images show the truest colours.
