Size: 5ft 1in x 2ft 11in (156 x 89cm).Antique Beshir Turkmen chuval with the ‘mina khani’ (many flowers) design.
Mid 19th century.
This wonderful old example has large amounts of crimson silk used throughout.
The drawing is excellent and very detailed, the colours are wonderful especially the light blues.
This is a collectable early example.
The chuval is in fair condition with even wear, heavy in places, with medium-low pile.
The chuval has some losses to the sides and ends; it has been conserved by mounting it on a cotton backing.
The chuval has not been washed.
