Description

Antique German pewter 9in bowl.
By Sebastian Friedrich of Landsberg Am Lech.
Worked 1670 - 1701.
A rare shallow bowl with incised and reeded rim, 9 inch diameter (22.5cm), with 'angel' decoration to the bowl.
The decoration to the inside of the bowl is very delicate and most unusual, there are traces of an inscription to the very centre of the bowl (this is possibly a touch mark).
Clear makers marks for Sebastian Friedrich of Landsberg Am Lech, Bavaria; to the rear.
The bowl is very fine and has a very tactile feel, the bowl has a polished silver grey colour to the face and reverse.
A superb rare collectable display item.
The rim measures 3.0cm on each side.
