Description
Size: 8ft 4in x 5ft 10in (178 x 115cm).Old Afghan village rug with a most unusual design.
Circa 1920.
The rug has a train of camels at the top and the bottom, the field design is large stylised poppies, these are to celebrate the poppy harvest.
The rug is of a soft camel colour with the poppies in shades of light and dark indigo blue.
The rug is in good condition with very slight wear and full pile. The rug retains its original end finishes at both ends.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use or it would make an interesting wall hanging.
