Description
Size: 11ft 2in x 4ft 10in (340 x 148cm).Antique North West Persian kelleh / long rug with a repeat all over shrub design.
Circa 1900.
The rug has bands of colour across the width in soft terracotta red, covered with beautifully drawn small shrubs. The ivory ground border is a very good example of the well known Sarabent village design. The corners are in indigo blue and contain small birds and animals.
The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
