Description
Size: 5ft 11in x 4ft 2in (180 x 127cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of small size, with fine weave, Salor guls.
Circa 1900.
This is an good example of a Tekke rug with Salor turreted guls, this rug has 2 rows of 8 guls with a very well drawn Salor minor gul. The colour palette is very pleasing with a Cochineal purple/red field and highlights in indigo blue and ivory.
The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
