Size: 5ft 0in x 1ft 5in (152 x 44cm)Antique Ersari Beshir Turkmen torba of classic ikat design.
Circa 1890.
An excellent example of Beshir weaving, a classic Beshir ikat design with excellent colour. These weavings are often considered to be dowry weavings as they were used to decorate the camel during the wedding procession.
The torba is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile, it has a very soft floppy handle.
Hand washed and ready for display.
