Description
Size: 1ft 1in x 0ft 11in (32 x 29cm).Antique tribal chanteh face, chanteh are small vanity bags used for the storage of personal belongings.
Circa 1900.
A small tribal chanteh bag face with a simple design of five floral rosettes on a medium indigo blue ground. The main border is a variation of a typical design on an ivory ground.
The bag face is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile. There are slight signs of wear through use in the top corners as can be seen in the images.
The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
