Size: 9ft 11in x 7ft 7in (303 x 232cm).Antique Khamseh tribal 'bird' carpet of excellent design and colour.
Circa 1900.
A classic example of a Khamseh ‘bird’ carpet. Three linked medallions on an indigo blue field filled with birds and animals. A good classic Khamseh border frames the carpet. The carpet is beautifully drawn with every possible part covered with birds and tribal design elements.
The carpet is of a very useful small room size.
The carpet is in good condition with even wear and medium pile.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
