Description
Size: 2ft 1in x 2ft 1in (63 x 63cm).Antique Timuri Baluch bag face from Western Afghanistan. The bag face is of classic Timuri design.
Circa 1920.
The bag face has the traditional Timuri colour palette of dark indigo blue and soft madder red. The designs are all of tribal origin, note the decorative kilim strip at the lower end with floated weft work decoration. The bag face also retains the original closing panel at the top.
The bag face is in good condition with slight signs of use. There is slight wear and good pile.
The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
