Description
Size: 5ft 8in x 3ft 11in (172 x 120cm).Antique Caucasian Daghestan rug with tulip latice on a dark indigo blue ground.
Circa 1900/10.
A good example of type with very nicely coloured tulips within a light blue lattice design on a dark indigo ground. The main border is a floral rosette design, the inner and outer guards are of the classic chevron design. Hidden in the design is also a small orange human figure.
The rug has even wear and medium pile. There are some losses to the ends and to the bottom right hand corner side, this is reflected in the price.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
