Size: 5ft 4in x 2ft 11in (162 x 89cm).Antique Caucasian Karabagh or Kazak prayer rug.
4th quarter 19th century.
This rug is related to the one illustrated in ‘Oriental Rugs, Volume 1 Caucasian’ plate 109 on page 112.
The rug is a very well-drawn example with excellent colour.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear, with medium-low pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
