Size: 8ft 4in x 5ft 2in (253 x 158cm).Antique Caucasian Karachov Kazak rug of compartment design on a stunning blue ground.
Circa 1890.
A good example of a Karachop Kazak rug with the traditional compartment design. The rug has 2 rectangular compartments on a mid indigo blue field, the colour combinations make this a visually striking rug. Note the many tribal filler items in the field. The ivory main border is very well drawn. The rug retains the original finishes at the top end.
The rug is in excellent condition with no wear and full pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
