Description
Size: 4ft 3in x 2ft 10in (130 x 87cm).Antique South West Persian tribal rug, Shiraz region, probably by settled weavers from the Khamseh tribe.
Circa 1910
A good small rug with triple linked medallion design, the field is filled with flowers, shrubs, chickens and other tribal designs. The indigo blue in the medallions really shines, the ivory ground main border frames the rug well.
Good condition with even wear and medium pile, a few spots of slightly heavier wear.
Hand washed and ready for use.
An good furnishing rug suitable for normal domestic use.
