Description
Size: 4ft 9in x 3ft 5in (144 x 105cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of small size, with traditional design.
Circa 1900.
A small Tekke Turkmen rug with 2 rows of 8 Tekke guls on a clear red ground, the border is the Turkmen sun burst design.
The rug has good wool and a soft floppy handle. The rug retains the original large elem end panels at both ends and the ivory kilim and tassels.
The rug is in fair condition with some wear and good pile. There is a few spots of damage to the lower end and kilim, and the side bindings are worn in places. This is reflected in the price.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
