Description
Size: 5ft 7in x 4ft 4in (170 x 131cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of useful square size, with very fine weave, good colour.
Circa 1900/20.
A Tekke Turkmen rug with 3 rows of 8 Tekke guls on a clear red ground, the border is the Turkmen sun burst design.
The rug has good wool and a soft floppy handle. The rug retains the original large elem end panels at both ends along with the original kilim end finish.
The rug is in good condition with slight wear and good pile, there are a few spots of heavier wear clearly shown in the close up images. This is reflected in the price of the rug.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
