Description
Size: 5ft 11in x 3ft 7in (180 x 108cm).Old Yomut Turkmen Ensi design rug with double elem design.
Circa 1930.
The design is based on a Yomut Turkmen ensi (Yurt door hanging). This example has a superb red colour and two beautifully drawn elem (base) panels. The upper elem is of the eagle design and the lower panel is Turkmen trees.
Good condition with very slight even wear and good pile, the rug has fine weave and soft wool.
Hand washed and ready for use, a good furnishing rug, the rug is very slightly mis-shaped, this is reflected in the price.
