Description
Size: 4ft 7in x 2ft 1in (140x 90cm).Old Afghan Baluch camel ground prayer rug with tree of life design.
Circa 1920.
The rug is drawn with a simple stylised tree of life and has excellent colour, the camel wool ground is very soft. The rug has multiple curl leaf design borders.
The rug is in good condition with slight wear and almost full pile. The rug retains the long ivory wool fringes at the lower end. There is some slight wear to the side bindings, this is reflected in the price.
The rug has been hand washed and ready for use or display. The rug has a soft floppy handle.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
